ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate, Farooq H. Naek on Friday referred the Bill further to amend the Delimitation of Constituencies Act 1974 (The Delimitation of Constituencies (Amendment) Bill, 2011), to Standing Committee on Law and Parliamentary Affairs for further discussion.
The bill, passed by the National Assembly, under Article 70(2) of the Constitution was moved by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Maula Bakhsh Chandio.
Leader of the House in the Senate Syed Nayyar Bokhari said that he has no objection on the spirit of the bill and the amendment made by the Lower House of the Parliament.
He, however, requested the chair to refer the bill to the concerned committee for further consideration and to examine it.
