NAB authorizes inquiries against DHO Mardan, others

PESHAWAR: The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held here with Director General (DG) Farmanullah Khan in the chair here Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Directors, Deputy Prosecutor General (DPGA), Case Officers, and other concerned officers. Several important decisions were taken in the Regional Board Meeting.

The board authorized inquiry against officials DHO Mardan and others regarding corruption & corrupt practices. The subjects are alleged to have misappropriation of funds allocated for standardization of hospitals, purchase of equipment’s / furniture, medicines, vaccines and civil works etc.

The board authorized inquiry against officials of LG&RDD and contractor of Fun Land Shahi Bagh and Chacha Younis Park Peshawar regarding corruption and corrupt practices.

The subject is alleged to have received extra money while handing-over Fun Land Shahi Bagh to the government and also got illegal contract of Chacha Younis Park in gross violation of laws.

Beside these, the board approved reference against Yahya Khan, Senior Auditor, Regional Tax Office Peshawar & others regarding misappropriation of Taxes and other funds.

The DG NAB (KP) has vowed that as per directions of Justice Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB, NAB KP is determined to do across the board accountability on the basis of solid evidence as per law.

He further said that eradication of corruption is not only our social and moral obligation but it also ensures prosperous future of our coming generation.
