Facebook's feature of letting videos automatically start playing on mobile devices whenever there's an internet connection can quickly tear through a customer's monthly data volume limit. But there is a way to turn off the function, Facebook has announced in its Help section.
In Android, go to Settings, where one can deactivate video autoplay under Help & Settings. In iOS machines, go to System Settings and then to the Facebook app. The autoplay function can be shut off with the Settings/Video function. The option has to be shut off on every smartphone and tablet individually.
