Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) today

HYDERABAD: Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his 72 companions is being observed today with due reverence like other parts of the country.

Various groups of participants have finalised arrangements to bring out their processions from different parts of the city, Latifabad and Qasimabad and later join the main procession to be brought out from Qadamgah Moula Ali in the afternoon under the banner of Anjuman-e-Hyderi. The procession, after passing through its traditional routes of Station Road, Lajpat Road, Risala Road, Saddar, Bohri Bazaar and Al-Rahim Centre Road, will culminate at Karbala Dadan Shah before Maghrib prayers.

The provincial home department has already imposed ban on pillion riding as precautionary security measures while district administration has adopted a contingency plan to maintain law and order in the urban localities of the district and security at the routes of mourning processions.
