FAISALABAD: The agriculture department has claimed to surpass target of cotton cultivation in the district.
A spokesman of the department said here on Tuesday, the agriculture department has fixed a target of 68,000 acres of land for cotton cultivation this year in the district.
However, due to strenuous efforts of field staff the cotton was cultivated over 68,618 acres of land in the district, he added.
