SBP fail to raise long term deposits

KARACHI: STATE BANK OF PAKISTAN has not yet triumph to raise the long-term deposits despite providing attractive incentives- said by the sources of banking executives.

According to a senior banker that we have up to 75 percent deposits for less than one year.

The prevailing situation will hurt the economic growth, if bank does not go to long-term financing.

Senior analysts express that large banks do not take risk to go long term financing and adapt the strategies to make money without pain.

The banks earning the profits by just lending of investment into government’s papers instead of working hard to get profit by indirect investment to expand the economics activities as compare to current fictions profits accumulation strategies.
