ISLAMABAD: In the modern times, people love listening music without disturbing others, therefore, technology has enabled people to listen to music on the go but this may also have its disadvantage.

A new generation is at risk of going deaf because they listen to music that is too loud, experts have warned. Smartphones and earphones have caused increasing hearing loss over the past decade among young people, according to a top audiologist.

An expert is warning that an entire generation is at risk of going deaf as people under 30 listen to loud music on phones. The music pumped into ears of young people is described as being the same decibel as a jumbo jet taking off, dailymail.co.UK reported.

The number of people under 30 having permanent hearing damage has been increasing for the past decade in the UK. Hearing loss is irreversible and many of those facing these problems are suffering due to noise exposure.

Accessing loud and high music enhances sound quality, but on the other hand, it may have negative consequence.

According to experts the entire generation is at risk of going deaf as people under 30 listen to loud music on phones. The music pumped into ears of young people is described as being the same decibel as a jumbo jet taking off.

There are many people under the age of 30, suffering from permanent hear damage. One things must keep in mind that hearing loss is irreversible and many of the patients facing problems are due to noise exposure.

if you’re going to a gig, take earplugs. Modern ones don’t ruin the listening experience. Noise-cancelling headphones are also really good when background noise is high, like on buses and trains.
