ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday dispelled impression of any confrontation between the state institutions and all organs are working within their domains.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said state institutions did not want confrontation in any manner and present situation was just a reflection of transition to democracy.
To a question, the Minister said the government would complete its tenure and current issues would be resolved in a week or so.
He said the government is committed to taking steps for further strengthening democracy and during its tenure, it succeeded on several fronts including success in war on terror.
He said difference of opinion is a democratic right of a person and the government allies have fully supported the efforts for continuity of the democratic process.
To another question, the minister said there was no threat to Mansoor Ejaz and he would be provided security during his stay in the country.
The Minister said the government is implementing the decisions of the Supreme Court. "We never disobeyed any decision of the supreme court."
