After an embarrassing nine wickets loss at the hands of Pakistan at Lord’s, England’s premier fast bowler James Anderson is eager to ‘fight’ in the second and final Test at Leeds, Headingley.

"If you get one or two individuals standing up, then people can piggyback on that and take confidence as well," said Anderson, quoted BBC. The fast bowler was of the view that the team has indeed got a hit on their confidence and it will require 'something special to turn it around'.

"It's quite easy for the confidence of the team to take a hit when you have a defeat like that," said Anderson. "So we'll try, as well as using our skill, to use our heart, to use the fight we have in the dressing room to show people what we can do,” he said.

England were outclassed by the young Pakistani side at Lord's, to be beaten in the first Test of a home summer for the first time since 1995.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Amir, who played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s nine-wicket win over England, has his sight set on attaining a series whitewash.

“It is a big achievement winning in Test cricket in England against England at home. If we win the series I think it will be the best memory of my life,” he said.
