Workshop on improving quality of HEC recognised journals held

Higher Education Commission Quality Assurance Division organized a one-day workshop for improving the quality of HEC recognised journal in the discipline of Agriculture. This workshop was organized at HEC Regional Center Lahore. Professor Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Advisor QEC, while addressing the Editors HEC recognised journals and reviewers committee through video conference, called for improving quality of journals, research work and make these user friendly.
He added that HEC would organise more workshops, seminars and awareness sessions for all stakeholders of HEC with special reference to HEC recognised journals. Editors of Impact factor journals, X, Y and Z category journals presented the two years reports of the journal consisting of reviewers comments, plagiarism report and indexing agencies and future strategies and plan.
The two members of reviewer committee; 1) Professor Dr Kaleem Abbasi, AJK University 2) Professor Dr Anwar-ul- Hassan, University of Agriculture Faisalabad listened to the editors regarding their performance and contribution for improvement of journals into next category. Deputy Director QEC Hakim Ali Talpur urged the editors to put of their case in the next category with reference to their contribution, achievement and improvement in their journals.
