KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday was informed by the K-Electric (KE) Chief Executive Officer that no unannounced loadshedding was being carried out across the city after the Bin Qasim Power Power Station was repaired.
In its- reply to the contempt of court application filed against KE bosses for carrying out unannounced loadshedding in the city in violation of the court order, the KE CEO submitted earlier, the outages were carried out due to technical fault in Qasim Power Power Station.
“Now the spare part that was required to repair the unit had fixed the issue and the unannounced loadshedding was not being carried in the entire city”. After KE’s reply, the SHC rejoinder by June 12.
Earlier, the petitioner had submitted that the power utility was carrying out unannounced loadshedding across the city despite clear restraining order of the court.
The court was requested to initiate contempt of court proceedings against KE high ups and others for flaying its directives.
