Al-Azizia Steel Mills reference adjourned till May 21

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad Wednesday adjourned hearing of a reference pertaining to Al-Azizia Steel Mills against the Sharif family members till May 21, wherein defence counsel Khawaja Haris will continue cross-examination of prosecution witness JIT head Wajid Zia.
AC Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the the reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz appeared before the court.
As the hearing began, defence counsel Khawaja Haris started cross-examination of the NAB witness Wajid Zia, during which exchange of hard words with NAB prosecutor were also witnessed.
Earlier, the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) shared the details of bank account transactions of former prime minister.
Later, the court adjourned the case till May 21.
