NAWABSHAH: District Price Control Authority has refixed the prices of essential commodities in the wake of coming month of Ramzan ul Mubarak and a notification in this regard was issued here on Monday.
This was announced by the Deputy Commissioner Nouman Siddique Latki.
According to notification the prices of Dal Mash Super quality was fixed at Rs. 125 per kilo, Dal Moong washed Rs. 110, Dal Moong whole Rs.90, Dal Masoor imported Rs.95, Dal Masoor second quality Rs.75, Dal Masoor whole Rs.90, Dal Chana first quality Rs.115, Dal Chana second quality Rs.100, Chana 16mm Rs.220 per kilo, Chana white Rs.155, Chana black Rs.100, Basin Taj wala Rs.135, Super Kernal Rice new first quality Rs.140, Super Kernal Rice old first quality Rs.140, Super Kernal Rice broken Rs.80, Irri No 6 Rice Rs.30, Indian Cella Rice Kainat old Rs.140, Red Chilli longi whole Rs.260, Red Chilli grind Rs.280, Dhania whole Rs.190, Dhania grind Rs.200 per kilo, Black pepper whole Rs.750, Black pepper grind Rs.900, Beef Rs.350 per kilo, meat Rs.600, Milk Rs.90, Curd Rs.120, Ice Rs.3, Fish Kirra above 2 kilo size Rs.350 and price of Fish Thela was fixed at Rs.300 per kilo.
Announcement said that packet packed items like tea, dry milk, Mustard Oil, Ghee, Filter Water bottles and juices etc would be sold at printed prices on it. Announcement adds that prices of poultry, meat, fruits and eggs would be sold at rates fixed by Market Committee on daily basis.
The Deputy Commissioner has advised traders to sell consumer items on fixed rates during Ramzan and public was appealed to purchase these items at rates prescribed by district administration and in case of any complaint contact complaint Cell set up at Taluka and district level in order to initiate action against traders involved in over charging.
