SANTIAGO: Chile's economy was expected to grow 4.4 percent in April on the way to 3.6 percent growth for full-year 2018, according to a poll of 56 analysts by Chile's central bank and published on Thursday.
The country's inflation rate was forecast at 0.2 percent in May and at 2.8 percent over the 11 months ahead, according to the poll. The central bank was expected to keep its benchmark reference rate steady at 2.5 percent over the five months ahead.
