Marriage functions: CDGL issues order for closure timings

Punjab government has under section 144 CrPC extended the order issued by Administrator City District Government Lahore regarding marriage-related functions w. e. f 31-01-2014 to 01-03-2014 within the revenue limits of District Lahore. According to the order, all marriage-related functions shall be closed by 10:00pm in all hotels, marriage halls, open grounds/parks, residences, clubs, roads and streets or any other place where such functions can be held.
This step has been taken in view of the fact that late night marriage functions are causing great nuisance for the public which are likely to disturb peace and tranquillity in district Lahore.
