Summer vacations for educational institutions in Sindh, including Karachi, have been re-scheduled and will now be starting from May 14 instead of June 1.

According to a notification issued on Monday, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has approved the new dates for the summer vacations for all public and private educational institutions. All the educational institutions will reopen on July 17.

Earlier, the summer holidays were scheduled to begin on June 1 and end on July 31. However, due to the rising temperatures and with Ramazan nearing, the dates have been changed.

The Sindh education department had submitted a summary to CM Shah on Sunday, seeking early summer vacations for schools across Sindh, which was approved a day later.
