LAHORE: Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said the PML-N government wiped out terrorism and put the country on right path of development which resulted in a strong economy.

Addressing a ceremony at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), he said  the government inherited worst challenges when it came into power in 2013 but former prime minister Nawaz Sharif successfully coped with all crises and restored people's confidence.

He said that all institutions should work within their limits, as they became weak by meddling in the affairs of each other.

PML-N government would file appeal against Imran Khan's release in PTV attack case, he added.

He said that as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) knew well that it could not come into power corridors through ballot, so it was leveling allegations against the PML-N government.

The minister said that few years ago, when the government initiated Laptop Scheme for the students, the opponents of PML-N opposed it, and now due to this scheme and the government's steps in making digital Pakistan, the country had become the fourth largest free-lancing service provider in the world.
