PESHAWAR: The third phase of distribution of Watan Cards among flood affected people of four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa began here on Saturday under which Rs 571.9 million were distributed among 28,597 families.
The 3rd phase covers the flood affected people of four districts including Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera and DI Khan.
A statement of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated that every affected family to get Rs 20,000 as cash compensation.
The statement said in Mardan 5,288 affected families have been given Rs 105.760 million, in Charsadda Rs 243.400 million have been distributed among 12,170 families and rupees 35.92 million have been to 1,796 families affected by flood in Dera Ismail Khan and Rs 186.807 million were distributed among 9,343 families in Nowshera district.
It further said that a programme is being chalked out for distribution of cash compensation in other districts of the province from the current month.
