Twin blasts kill 21 in Kabul

At least 21 people were killed in twin blasts in Kabul, Afghanistan early Monday morning.
The interior ministry told AFP that the first blast, which is believed to be a suicide blast, hit the city's headquarters of the Afghan intelligence services, by an unidentified person on a motorcycle. People were just entering the government office when the bomb was detonated.
The blast left 21 people dead while several were injured in the twin blasts.
The second blast took place just minutes after the first blast. “The second explosion took place in the same area. We do not know the nature of the blast, but it is the same location,” interior ministry spokesperson Najib Danish told AFP.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) Chief photographer Shah Marai along with three journalists was killed when the second blast occurred.
Following the attack, ambulances were dispatched to the incident sites. However, no group has yet come forth to claim responsibility.
Earlier, announcing their usual spring offensive the Taliban had vowed to target US forces and their ‘internal supporters’.
