KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has said that the government is taking measures for promoting industrial development in the province as it contributes to overall economic progress of the country.
The role of private sector in the industrial development cannot be ignored, the Governor said while speaking at the annual charity dinner of Green Crescent Trust at the Governor House, here, said a press release issued here on Sunday.
The charity dinner was organised to generate donations for more than 800 social welfare projects being operated by the trust in far-flung areas.
Muhammad Zubair suggested to the provincial government to allocate maximum funds in the budget for education and promotion of industries.
The Governor said the government is actively working for the industrial development.
On the occasion, Green Crescent Trust's Chief Executive Officer Zahid Saeed spoke about the social welfare activities of the trust.
