KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday announced to set up Tv Studio at the Mass Communication Department of University of Karachi.
The President, while addressing the ceremony of laying foundation stone of Seerat Chair at the university, said he had learnt that the Mass Communication Department of KU was in need for the Tv studio since long. That, Presidency would provide the financial support on this account.
He said that with establishment of this TV Studio, the students of Karachi University would avail education in modern science and technology disciplines and latest information in the world, like at other modern universities.
He urged the teachers and students of the Mass Communication Department to show their commitment and work hard so that the journalistic ethics and professionalism be promoted. Today, it had become a dire need of the country.
Professor Dr. Semi Naghmana Tahir thanked the President for his support in setting up the Tv Studio.
After this Tv studio, she said, the Mass Communication Department of KU would able to provide standard training to the students in electronic media.
