imrererKARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Friday unanimously passed Sindh Public Property (Removal of Encroachment (Second Amendment) Bill 2011, allowing the government to compose and appoint presiding officers for tribunals and special courts.

Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro presented the bill. These presiding officers will be appointed in consultation with Chief Justice of Sindh High Court.

District Judges, Additional Judges and lawyers of High Court, having ten years practicing experience can be appointed presiding officers for these courts and tribunals. Their term of appointment will be about two years, but they can be removed before that term.
