RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Peoples Party city chapter will set up a camp at martyrdom place of former prime minister Benazir Bhuttos at Laiqat Bagh during the party’s ongoing membership drive on April 27.
PPP city chapter information secretary Nasir Mir told APP, that PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussian Bukhari and Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar would visit the camp.
He said party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the office-bearers to ensure enlisting maximum people as members and avoid submitting fake lists.
The senior activists, he said would form groups to focus on door to door visits, setting up of camps in the streets, bazaars, busy places to attract people and register them as members.
The drive, he said would prove that PPP was the largest political party in the city, adding it was time the PPP workers started working for strengthening the party.
