High Commissioner to visit Birmingham, trade promotion and community outreach to be focused

LONDON: Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK) will undertake a two-day visit of Birmingham from April 27, as a part of trade promotion and community outreach efforts of the High Commission.

According to a statement of the High Commission issued here on Wednesday, during his tour, the High Commissioner would visit Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and discuss trade promotion between Pakistan and the UK. He will also interact with the business community of Birmingham.

Deliberation would also be made on forging business to business ties between the Birmingham Chamber and Pakistani Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The High Commissioner will also interact with the Pakistani community there at the Consulate and discuss with them matters pertaining to the diaspora.

He will also review the Consular services being provided to the community at the Consulate.

Meetings with the local MPs and political leadership are also in the schedule of the High Commissioner.

The members of the Pakistani community and other Pakistani origin organizations, desirous of meeting with the High Commissioner, might contact the Consul of Pakistan at Birmingham Consulate, the statement added.
