Stand out in the crowd with new flashing neon earphones

Chinese smartphone manufacturer has created flashing headphones that might make you stand out from the crowd, escaping the most usually used white cable.

Meizu created the light-up earbuds that they named ‘Halo’. The Bluetooth 4.1 headphones light up and flash in bright neon red or blue light for an average of five hours of use, at 50% brightness. However, the headphones can last for 15 hours if the lighting option is switched off. The headphone’s rechargeable battery takes approximately 1.5 hours for a complete charge.

As per The Verge, Halo makes use of a light-diffusing fiber ‘Fibrance’ from the company ‘Corning’, which is manufactured from flexible glass able to be bent and curved. Halo comes in with a sliding control switch that controls the flashing light. There are volume buttons, Bluetooth pairing and also call functions.

Halo can sync in with a smartphone app through which brightness and lighting modes can be controlled. The Halo comes in with a carrying case along with various earbud sizes and charging cable.

These earphones are currently available for 999 Yuan (around $158) with no information if they will be sold to other markets apart from China.

Moreover, the Chinese manufacturer also announced their new Meizu 15 and 15 Plus smartphones in the country along with another pair of earphones called ‘Pop’, which is another Bluetooth earphone but are truly wireless, water-resistant and has touch interaction, voice assistant support which its own charging case. These earphones can be used for up to three hours and cost 499 Yuan ($79), as per Android Headlines.
