ISLAMABAD: Around 3,731,032 Afghan refugees have been repatriated to their homeland through Voluntary Repatriation Centers of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) from Peshawar and Balochistan during March, 2002 to December 2012.
Spokesperson of UNHCR told APP, here Wednesday that as many as 1,565,095 refugees were repatriated in 2002, (in 2003, 343,074), (in 2004, 383,598), (in 2005, 449,520), (in 2006, 133,015),(in 2007 364,476), (in 2008 282,496), (in 2009 51,290), (in 2010 109,383) (in 2011 49,085).
She said that a survey named Population Profiling Verification Response is underway for Afghan refugees to check their economic position in Pakistan.
