LONDON: European stock markets fell at the start of trading on Wednesday after recent gains, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.15 percent to 5,691.15 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 dropped 0.41 percent to 6,141.26 points and in Paris the CAC 40 lost 0.55 percent to 3,227.46 points.
