ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Monday said that the allied opposition parties have not yet proposed any name for the slot of caretaker prime minister.
Talking to media persons here, Khursheed Shah said the transparency of the next general elections will depend upon on the caretaker prime minister, adding that “we are trying level best to select a right person for the slot.”
He said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would announce its nominee of the caretaker prime minister after party meeting.
To a question about the name of new Islamabad Airport, Khursheed Shah that if the new airport is not named after Benazir Bhutto, the PPP will challenge this in the court.
The opposition leader said his meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was scheduled on Wednesday to discuss the appointment of the caretaker prime minister.
