ISLAMABAD: Senator Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Mushahidullah Khan has said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif after coming into power in 2013 elections had made efforts for resolving the problems of load shedding, economy and terrorism.
During the four year period of the former prime minister, the country was progressing in every field, he said while talking to a private news channel.
The PML-N government under the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif launched many projects including metro bus service, motorways, power plants through China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects, besides controlling the dollar rate in the country.
The GDP growth rate was improving due to prudent policies of present government, he added. Nawaz Sharif had to leave the premiership after the court orders on having Iqama, he said.
After the disqualification of former prime minister, there were many challenges emerged in the country, he added.
To a question about rift in the party, he said PML-N was fully united under the flag of Nawaz Sharif.
To another question regarding Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's meeting with the chief justice, he said there was no harm to have dialogue with any head of the national institutions.
