LAHORE: Punjab Irrigation Secretary Irfan Elahi said on Saturday that the Asian Deveploment Bank (ADB) would provide $900 million under an agreement in 2012 to accomplish ongoing projects such as extension of the Pakpattan Canal, Sulemanki barrage and Thar canal distribution system.
He said the multitranche financing facility (MFF) would also help in the provision of funds for various schemes under the Punjab Irrigate Agriculture Investment Programme (PIAIP). He said that timely release of funds would ensure their completion within the stipulated period.
