KARACHI: Around 7500 retired Christian employees will get their pension on Thursday, three days before the Easter.
City Mayor, Waseem Akhtar, said that Rs.90.90 million in terms of pension for the Christian pensioners have been released and retired employees all over the country can get their pension from theirs respective banks on Thursday, said a statement issued here on Wednesday.
The City Mayor said that paying pension to Christian employees aims to double their Easter happiness. Adding that a free visit will be arranged for 1000 Christian children on the occasion of the Easter.
He said that sanitation, lighting arrangements will be made around the churches and other civic facilities will also be provided.
