ISTANBUL: The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) will offer 5.5 million metric tons of grain to the market in November, with sales continuing at the prices announced at the beginning of the harvest, it said late on Friday.
The TMO statement said that since sales began on Sept. 1, around 1.5 million tonnes of grain have been sold, meeting the raw-material needs of the relevant sectors across the country.
In addition to ongoing barley sales to livestock producers and feed factories, lower-quality wheat has also been made available to the feed industry, it said.
