- New Brent and WTI crude oil benchmarks.
The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs1.85 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.75 per litre, effective October 29, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division on Wednesday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

Following the revision, petrol will cost Rs377.91 per litre, up from Rs376.06, while the price of high-speed diesel has increased to Rs399.82 per litre from Rs398.07.
The revised prices will be effective for Thursday, October 29, 2026.
OOGRA said the change in prices was necessitated by global developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
On Tuesday, the government decreased the price of petrol by Rs3.19 per litre while increasing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs2.25 per litre.
Globally, oil prices climbed about 2% on Wednesday as continued fighting in Yemen and an attack on a refinery in Saudi Arabia renewed concerns about additional supply disruptions from the Middle East.
Brent futures rose $1.81, or 1.6%, to $115.69 per barrel at 10:42 a.m. EDT (1442 GMT), while US West Texas Intermediate crude rose $2.52, or 2.5%, to $102.42.
That price gain pushed Brent back into overbought territory for the fourth time in five days.
