HYDERABAD: Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Zafar Ahmed Rajput has said the promises he had made during his last visit to Jamshoro district about completing certain projects of development and of providing facilities have been fulfilled in 6 months.

He expressed these views while addressing Jamshoro District Bar Association after inaugurating several projects on Saturday. Justice Riasat Ali Sahar, Justice Jan Ali Junejo, Justice Muhammad Humayun Khan and other judges besides the office bearers of the bar and senior lawyers were present on the occasion.

The Chief Justice SHC appreciated Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Access To Justice Programme, his team and other concerned departments for timely completion of the projects. He apprised that under the Access to Justice Programme solar systems had been installed in all the courts in the province in addition to establishing e-libraries for the lawyers.

Justice Rajput added that a 12 Kilowatt solar system, an e-library, a women facilitation center, waiting area, meeting room and separate washrooms had been established in Jamshoro. According to him, 2 air conditioners, 8 water coolers equipped with filtration and an RO water plant had been provided. The Chief Justice informed that a 6KW solar system had been installed in Sehwan based court and 3KW systems had been installed in the courts in Manjhand and Thana Bula Khan talukas of Jamshoro.

“Providing clean drinking water to the people visiting courts is a fundamental need,” he underlined. “I realized how necessary it is to provide clean drinking water when I saw a man and his 2 children during the hot summer season moving in the court in Jacobabad district looking for water around,” he said, sharing a 7 years old instance.

Responding to the bar association’s demand, Justice Rajput assured of starting expansion works in the office of DBA Jamshoro and for providing vehicle parking facility in Manjhand. He shared that the projects of installing 2 more solar systems in the judicial complex Jamshoro and of providing more water coolers were under consideration.
