Tasdeeq share price gains 21% on first trading day at PSX

  • Share price closes at Rs3.62 on Monday from pre-opening rate of Rs3.00
Published Updated

Tasdeeq Information Services Limited’s (TISL) share price surged almost 21% on Monday – the first public trading day for the stock post its initial public offering (IPO) – closing at Rs3.62/share at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The share price increased 20.67%, or Re0.62, from the pre-opening price of Rs3/share in the morning. The regulations allowed the share price to move by Re1/share either side of the fence in the range of Rs2-4/share in the day.

The company emerged as the second-largest volume leader on the first day, with 148.56 million shares changing hands in the day, according to PSX data.

The share price hit intra-day low at Rs3.48/share and intra-day high at Rs3.89/share on Monday.

Earlier through the IPO held in August 2026, TISL raised Rs450 million through selling 150 million shares to a variety of investors at the PSX at Rs3 per share - a price that the company determined through a two-day Dutch auction (book building process).

TISL, which is a State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated credit information and analytics company, opened Dutch bidding at a minimum (floor) price of Rs1.9/share on August 5, 2026 that soared 58% to Rs3 per share during the bidding, according to Topline Securities, consultant of the share issuance.

The consultant reported the IPO was fully subscribed within a “record two seconds” of the start of book building on first day of the two-day Dutch auction.

“Tasdeeq is Pakistan’s first SBP-licensed private credit bureau, one of only two licensed in the country, and will be the first credit bureau to list in South Asia,” the brokerage house said.

According to the company prospectus, it intends to use the IPO proceeds to support its product development roadmap, strengthen its technology infrastructure and information security, and fund consumer marketing initiatives.
