KARACHI: Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Energy and Planning & Development, Sindh has assured government’s full support for promoting locally manufactured products and resolving issues faced by industry, stressing the need to translate policy commitments into practical action.

He was addressing the closing ceremony of 15th IEEEP Fair 2026, jointly organised by the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) Karachi Centre and Badar Expo Solutions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said the three-day exhibition provided an indispensable platform for engineers, manufacturers, professionals, and industry stakeholders to exchange ideas, form strategic partnerships, and showcase cutting-edge products and technologies.

He noted that the “Make in Pakistan” theme was particularly relevant in the current economic environment and stressed that locally manufactured products should be given top priority by government institutions. He assured manufacturers that the Sindh government would extend complete cooperation in resolving issues related to taxation, duties, regulations, and other systemic hurdles affecting industrial growth.

The minister also appreciated the relentless efforts of the IEEEP Karachi Centre and event managers Badar Expo Solutions for successfully organising the premier engineering event and providing a dynamic platform that effectively connects industry with government and other key stakeholders.

Engr. Naveed Akram Ansari, Chairman of IEEEP Karachi Centre, spotlighted the newly introduced Made in Pakistan Excellence Award, aimed at encouraging high-quality local production and export competitiveness. The prestigious award was won by MACHT (Pvt) Limited, evaluated by an esteemed expert panel headed by Engineer Khalid Pervez, alongside members Engineer Ibrahim Haq, Engineer Dr. Mohsin Aman, Engineer Asif Siddiqui, and Engineer Shahab Raja.

Zohair Naseer, Chief Executive Officer of Badar Expo Solutions, expressed deep gratitude to the more than 200 local and international exhibitors who showcased their innovations across electrical, electronics, and renewable energy sectors. He extended special thanks to the event sponsors, official partners, media, and the organising committee members whose hard work ensured the seamless execution of the exhibition.

Building on the overwhelming success of this year’s exhibition, the organisers formally announced that the 16th edition of the IEEEP Fair will be held from September 7–9, 2027, at the Karachi Expo Centre.
