Director (P&D), and Asghar Hussain, Dy. Director (P&D) along with a team from the State Bank of Pakistan, Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC), comprising Niamat Ullah, Joint Director, and Tauseef Hussain, Deputy Director.

The meeting formed part of SBP BSC’s ongoing assessment of SME value chains across Pakistan, aimed at understanding business ecosystems, commercial relationships and opportunities for expanding formal financing to businesses, particularly SMEs.

Various proposals and opportunities for facilitating access to financing for manufacturing SMEs, particularly those operating in SIDB’s industrial estates, were discussed in detail.

The participants emphasized the importance of strengthening linkages between financial institutions and SMEs to enhance access to formal finance, support business growth and promote greater financial inclusion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

SIDB appreciates SBP BSC’s initiative and looks forward to continued collaboration for strengthening SME financing and supporting sustainable industrial development in the province.
