Published Updated

The federal government increased the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs5.27 per litre and petrol by Rs3.34 per litre, effective Wednesday, August 19.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of petrol was increased by Rs3.34 per litre, taking it from Rs331.20 to Rs334.54 per litre.

The price of HSD was raised by Rs5.27 per litre, from Rs390.42 to Rs395.69 per litre.

The new prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.

In the previous review on Monday, the government raised the price of HSD by Rs6.47 per litre, and petrol by Rs5.77 per litre.
