India’s Dabur reported a 15% rise in quarterly profit on Wednesday, as price hikes and steady demand for personal care products and packaged foods helped counter rising raw material costs.

The consumer goods maker, known for its eponymous toothpaste and honey, posted a profit of 5.91 billion rupees ($61.79 million) for the quarter ended June 30, up from 5.14 billion rupees a year earlier.

Several Indian consumer goods makers have reduced pack sizes and raised product prices to combat rising raw material and packaging costs linked to the war in the Middle East, although profit margins have come under pressure across the sector.

Dabur’s revenue rose 11% to 37.64 billion rupees in the first quarter, helped by stable rural demand, while sales through online platforms and supermarket chains also climbed. Its India consumer goods volume climbed 5%.

Revenue from its consumer care business, its largest segment and home to Odomos mosquito repellent and Odonil air freshener brands, rose to 30.01 billion rupees from 27.05 billion rupees a year earlier.
