ISLAMABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad, has stepped up its anti-smuggling campaign through coordinated intelligence-based operations launched since June 15, 2026, resulting in the seizure of smuggled vehicles and foreign-origin goods worth more than Rs200 million.
According to official sources, the enforcement teams confiscated 13 smuggled vehicles, including luxury vehicles like Land Cruiser and heavy motorcycles, along with large quantities of foreign-origin goods, including cloth and food items.
In separate raids, Customs teams targeted retail stores and commercial outlets allegedly involved in the sale and distribution of non-duty-paid imported goods. During the operations, officials seized a large quantity of imported perfumes, cosmetics and edible items that were allegedly brought into the country without payment of applicable duties and taxes or in violation of the Import Policy Order.
The market value of the goods seized during the raids is estimated at around Rs15 million. Customs officials said the seized goods have been taken into custody and legal proceedings have been initiated in accordance with the relevant laws.
