ISLAMABAD: A high-level Pakistani security official on Friday accused India of pursuing a strategy of regional destabilisation, alleging that New Delhi was attempting to create instability in Pakistan to divert attention from its internal challenges.
During a meeting with media influencers on issues related to India, the official claimed that India’s current leadership was unwilling to accept “ground realities” and alleged that the country’s policies were increasingly driven by Hindutva ideology, which, he said, had undermined its secular identity and contributed to growing religious intolerance and internal divisions. The official further alleged that India’s pursuit of the concept of “Akhand Bharat” reflected expansionist ambitions and accused the Indian military of becoming influenced by the ruling BJP’s political ideology.
According to the security sources, the official also criticised India’s human rights record, alleging restrictions on freedom of expression and the press, and claiming that minorities, particularly Muslims, faced systemic discrimination. He further alleged that the situation in Indian-administered Kashmir remained heavily militarised.
The official also accused India of using Pakistan’s name to justify what he described as “false flag operations” aimed at suppressing freedom movements and diverting international attention. Referring to Pakistan’s internal security, the official alleged that the top leadership of the banned Joint Awami Action Committee was advancing an Indian agenda.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, the official said the country and its people had never been intimidated by India and would continue to safeguard their sovereignty and stability.
