LAHORE: Under the “Punjab New Health Culture” initiative, comprehensive daily deep cleaning is being carried out in all public hospitals across the province for the first time to safeguard patients’ health.
Under this initiative, thorough cleaning is being carried out at the entrances, corridors and all wards of tehsil, district and other major hospitals. Special attention is also being given to the cleanliness of waiting areas and public washrooms. Professional daily cleaning is being conducted in operation theatres to keep them infection-free. Doors and windows of government hospitals are also being cleaned regularly. Hospital floors are being washed and cleaned using specialised chemicals. Special cleaning measures are also being implemented in paediatric and gynaecology wards to protect the health of children and women.
On the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, an extensive daily deep cleaning campaign is continuing in government hospitals across Punjab. The Chief Minister is being presented with a daily report on the deep cleaning process, while digital monitoring of the campaign is also underway.
