Govt urged to reduce petroleum prices

KARACHI: Founder and Chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri, has appealed to the government to reduce the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene for the people of Pakistan, as commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has gained momentum and crude oil prices in the international market continue to decline.

Commenting on the government’s decision to keep petroleum product prices unchanged, Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri questioned why fuel prices have been maintained in Pakistan despite the decline in global oil prices.
