LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Choudhry Shafay Hussain held a meeting with Chairman of China’s leading energy company DOARTROCKCORE, Pennypeng, on Saturday to discuss matters related to investment opportunities in Punjab.
Chairman DOART-ROCKCORE Pennypeng briefed the minister about his company’s investment plans in Punjab and said that his group would invest in the solar energy sector in the province. He said that the company would establish a manufacturing plant for solar panels, inverters and batteries on 21 acres of land in a Special Economic Zone.
He stated that in the first phase, the company would invest USD15 million, which would create 1,500 employment opportunities.
