ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday spoke with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis.

The two leaders exchanged views on the regional situation and welcomed the encouraging progress toward an understanding between the United States and Iran.

The Swiss Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s leading mediating role in supporting diplomatic engagement and its efforts in helping advance progress towards peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Both sides agreed to remain closely engaged on further developments.
