KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited a Bohra community mosque in Shabbirabad on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, where he met community elders and extended Eid greetings.
During the visit, the Mayor also reviewed the ongoing citywide cleanliness operation and inspected sanitation arrangements in various areas of the city. He was accompanied by Managing Director, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Tariq Nizamani.
Speaking to the media, the Mayor said that all available resources were being utilized to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across the city during Eid-ul-Azha. He stated that SSWMB teams had been actively engaged since morning in collecting and disposing of animal waste from different parts of the city to ensure a clean environment for residents.
He inspected sanitation measures in multiple localities and directed relevant officials to ensure the timely removal of animal remains and maintain strict monitoring of cleanliness operations throughout the Eid holidays.
He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with municipal authorities in efforts to keep the city clean during the festive period.
