Aurangzeb says secures 1.75bn yuan through panda bonds issuance
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has officially entered a new phase of financial cooperation with China after successfully raising 1.75 billion yuan through the issuance of panda bonds.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb confirmed in an interview with China Global Television Network that Pakistan has, for the first time, gained direct access to China’s capital market.
He said the issuance of panda bonds marks a significant milestone in strengthening financial ties between Pakistan and China.

Pakistan’s finance minister added that this development will also help promote the international use of the Chinese currency.

As per the channel report, the funds raised through the bond issuance are expected to support broader financial and development needs.
The development is being viewed as a key moment in Pakistan–China financial relations, opening new avenues for investment and long-term economic collaboration between the two countries.
