KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 244,169 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 140,925 tonnes of Import Cargo and 103,244 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 140,925 tonnes Comprised of 59,815 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 662 tonnes of Canola, 1,304 tonnes of Chickpeas, 79,144 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 103,244 tonnes Comprised of 71,018 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 910 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 8,270 tonnes of Cement, 21,624 tonnes of Clinkers & 1,422 tonnes of Rice.
Around, 03 ships namely, Canopus, Lucia, CmaCgm Medea & M T Shalamar berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, Sehan Kostar, Wadi Almalekat, Libra, Bai Chay Bridge & Apl Paris sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of four ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Elefsis and Bai Chay Bridge expected to sail on Wenesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 43,772 tones comprising 43,772 tones imports cargo and 0 export cargo was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 18 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Golden Violet, Al-Kharaitiyat and Hansa Europe & another ship ‘Bai Chay Bridge’ with Palm oil, LNG and Container are expected to take berths LCT, EETL and QICT respectively on Wednesday 13th May, 2026.
