ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday paid tribute to nurses for their selfless service to patients in the country and across the world on the occasion of International Nurses Day.
In a message marking the day, designated by the International Council of Nurses, Sharif highlighted the importance of global cooperation in the medical sector.
“This year, it is being observed under the theme, ‘Nurses: Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives,’” he said.
Sharif said the theme reflected the professional expertise of nurses and the need for quality medical training. “Nurses equipped with modern training can save precious lives by providing timely medical assistance,” he added.
