LARKANA: At Larkana Press Club, Pakistan People’s Party MPA Suhail Anwar Siyal, Sindh Government spokesperson Buland Khan Junejo and other party leaders addressed a joint press conference.

Speaking on the occasion, Suhail Anwar Siyal said that under the directives of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur, “Ma’arka-e-Haq” events were organised across Sindh.

He said a rally and musical night were also held in Larkana in which families and citizens participated in large numbers.

He stated that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had maintained from the first day that the party with majority support should form the government. He claimed that after May 9, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was offered the position of Foreign Minister, but instead continued representing Pakistan internationally. He said PPP believes in the power of votes and would make Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Prime Minister through democratic means.

Replying to a question, Siyal said PPP has always condemned increases in petroleum prices and would continue supporting democracy while raising its voice against wrong policies. He added that many countries face difficult times and Pakistan also is currently facing security and economic challenges, but PPP leadership would overcome them.

He further said PPP has never practiced personal politics and believes criticism should remain limited to policies rather than personal attacks. Referring to political opponents, he said the opposition should wait for the 2029 general elections where decisions would be made through ballots.

Siyal also said Sindh had suffered natural disasters, including floods and heavy rains, which damaged infrastructure across the province. He added that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari secured an international housing project for 2.1 million homes for flood victims.

Speaking at the press conference, Buland Khan Junejo said May 9 was a significant day for Pakistan’s success and appreciated the people of Larkana for making the rally and celebrations successful. He said PPP has always supported democracy and accountability and claimed the party stood with the people during difficult times in Sindh.

PPP Larkana Division General Secretary Abdul Fattah Bhutto and District Larkana General Secretary Ijaz Ahmed Leghari said the people of Larkana celebrated Pakistan’s victory with enthusiasm on May 9 and praised the role and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed forces.
